Aaron Rodgers became the subject of conversation on Wednesday after accusations that he cheated at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The allegations came from none other than one of Rodgers’ newest rivals: Buffalo Bills superstar Josh Allen.
The Bills quarterback joined “Pardon My Take” this week and discussed what happened at Pebble Beach. Rodgers had won the Pro-Am event back in February. However, at the time, Allen’s teammate Keith Mitchell accused Rodgers of “sandbagging” everybody on his handicap.
Allen agreed with Mitchell that he sandbagged him “and the world” on the popular podcast. The Comeback wrote:
“He did,” Allen said to co-host Dan Katz after he asked if Rodgers cheated. “I love Aaron, but he did.” Katz implied that Rodgers “sandbagged” Allen, to which he agreed and then made sure to add an amendment. “The world,” Allen said of how many people the Jet quarterback sandbagged.
Allen and Rodgers both later would compete at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in Nevada. There were no known fireworks then, besides Stephen Curry draining a hole-in-one and winning the tournament, of course.
Allen and Rodgers won’t be strangers this coming season. After the blockbuster trade that sent the multi-time MVP to the New York Jets, he will see the Bills two times a year while he’s there. They’re teed up to open the 2023 Monday Night Football schedule this season at the Meadowlands.
The two also competed later this year on the golf course. They participated in the 2023 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. Basketball superstar and four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry won that event.
The world reacted to the news.
We’ve known Rodgers is a cheater.
