Sunday was a day to get right for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers offense.
Playing the 1-6 Lions, who entered the day on pace to give up the most points in an NFL season, the Packers should have been clicking on all cylinders.
Instead, Rodgers looked bad and the offense sputtered, putting up only nine points in losing to the Lions, 15-9.
Rodgers threw three interceptions, his first 3 INT game since 2017. While he threw for 291 yards, those turnovers were a killer, including this third-quarter pick near the goal line.
The Packers (3-6) have now lost five straight, in a season that began with Super Bowl aspirations.
It’s clear the Packers miss wide receiver Davante Adams, who is now putting up huge numbers for the Las Vegas Raiders. But at some point, Rodgers deserves a good portion of the blame for the Packers’ offensive woes.
The NFL community roasted Rodgers and the Packers after the loss.
“Aaron Bleepin Rodgers: Underthrow on deep ball that should’ve been a TD. … From back-to-back MVP to Least Valuable,” tweeted Fox Sports debator Skip Bayless.
“RIP to the season we should’ve gotten rid of 12 before the season,” tweeted rapper Lil Wayne, a huge Packers fan.
