The Villanova Wildcats are a well-oiled machine and straight-up dominated the Kansas Jayhawks 95-79 in Saturday night’s Final Four action.
Villanova was particularly lethal from behind the arc, hitting 18-of-40 three-pointers, with seven players making at least two of those. The 18 triples shattered the Final Four record, and Villanova even tied the record with 13… in the first half alone!
The Wildcats got contributions up and down the lineup; seven players scored in double digits and Eric Paschall led the way with 24 points.
Villanova has now won every game they’ve played in this year’s tournament by at least 12 points. It’s certainly no surprise that Jay Wright’s squad opens as a 6.5-point favorite over Michigan for the national championship game Monday night in San Antonio.
If Villanova keeps playing anything like they have been for the entire tournament to this point, it would be a surprise if they don’t come away with their second national title in three years.
