Emmy season is over and prestige films are going to start getting recognition with the Oscars right around the corner. We may have an early contender for ‘Best Acting’ courtesy of the Tennessee’s Rashaan Gaulden, and he deserves every award there is after this performance.
The Tennessee Volunteers faced off against the Florida Gators and the game had everything you could hope for as a college football fan. Two teams needing to make a name for themselves in the SEC East. Unfortunately, one team went a bit over the line and isn’t the side you think it would be.
This isn’t the type of stuff you see in football. It is even noted during the broadcast. The old adage goes, if you aren’t cheating, you aren’t trying, and this fits perfectly. If you can draw attention to a player taking a swing at you, you might as well do it.
Florida wide receiver Brandon Powell was thrown out and it was for “throwing a punch” according to the referee.
I would classify it as more of a slight tap, not a punch. These two teams play once a year and they will surely not forget the ridiculousness of that play.
