While the Selection Show is still eight days away, we already have a ticket punched to the NCAA Tournament.
The Murray State Racers are going dancing, after taking down Belmont in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Saturday night in Evansville.
Murray State is 26-5 (16-2 in conference play), and currently has the nation’s longest winning streak at 13 games. The Racers are led by senior stars Jonathan Stark 24 points tonight; 21.7 per game) and Terrell Miller Jr. (14.8 points, 8.3 rebounds per game), and terrific freshman guard Ja Morant (12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists).
Matt McMahon’s squad has all the makings of a potential Cinderella, and are certainly a team that nobody wants to face in the first round.
Murray State is straight up going to be a dangerous ass 12/13 seed. They’re athletic, great guards, and shoot the shit out of the ball. I would not want them in my quadrant.

This year's first auto-bid will go to Murray State. 26-5 out of the Ohio Valley. With just a 4 point loss to SEC-champ Auburn in their only game so far against a power conference team, they are going to be a terrifying 12/13 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Whichever team draws Murray State, good luck. 13 straight wins, some close calls vs. Auburn, Middle Tennessee as well.
