Last week in Denver, a cat interrupted a baseball game between the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers at Coors Field. Well, in Texas, there was an even more unique animal invasion during a baseball game.
An opossum found its way onto the field for Tuesday night’s college baseball game between Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas at UFCU Disch-Falk Field (home of the Longhorns in Austin). Play continued on in the eighth inning as the marsupial scampered along the warning track behind concerned Texas A&M-Corpus Christi outfielders.

Later, Longhorns players served as rodent control, and were able to direct the opossum out of the playing field.
Well done by the Texas players.
The Longhorns also did a good job with the actual baseball playing, coming away with a 14-4 victory.
