The way this college football season is playing out, the Heisman Trophy could be wrapped up by Columbus Day.
That’s because Louisville’s Lamar Jackson is playing absolutely out of his mind. After totaling 13 passing and rushing touchdowns over his first two games of the season, the quarterback absolutely dominated No. 2 Florida State during the first half Saturday, accounting for four touchdowns and turning the most highly anticipated game of the day into a laugher. No. 10 Louisville led the Seminoles 35-10 at the break, on the way to a 63-20 blowout win.
Jackson rushed for a touchdown on Louisville’s first drive of the game, added a 14-yard scramble for a score later in the first quarter, threw a five-yard TD pass in the second, then snuck in from the goal line as the half came to a close. His final first-half line: 11-16 passing, for 180 yards and a TD; 13 carries for 94 yards and three TDs on the ground.
Here are some highlights, which inevitably fail to do justice to the performance:

Jackson now has 17 touchdowns in two and a half games. That’s more than most FBS *teams* have scored this season.
Jackson basically made the Seminoles look this this:
