Earlier this month, Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost made some waves around the college football world when he was bizarrely bragging about how much his offensive linemen were vomiting during preseason camp. Well after his team’s 31-28 loss to the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday, he had his comments thrown back in his face.

Discussing new offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, Frost said during preseason camp that Raiola is pushing his offensive linemen so hard that the group is vomiting 15-20 times per practice, not because they’re not in shape – he’s just working them hard.”

Northwestern offensive line coach Kurk Anderson had a little fun with those comments following the Wildcats’ season-opening victory.

“And to think we only puked 4 times all camp,” Anderson said on Twitter after the game.

Anderson’s comments only add salt to the wound of what was likely a gutting loss for the Huskers. Nebraska held an 11-point lead over the Wildcats at one point during the third quarter, but was outscored 14-0 down the stretch and lost the game on a back-breaking interception.

This close loss continues a troubling trend for Nebraska as the team finished last season with just a 3-9 record, with all but one of those nine losses coming by one score.
