Jordan Addison was considered the top receiver in the nation last year when he won the Biletnikoff Award with the Pittsburgh Panthers. So it might not be too surprising to think that the best receiver might want to eventually play for what is considered the best football program in the nation.
While rumors have been swirling since last week that USC Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley had tampered with Addison before he entered the transfer portal, the latest news is that the highly sought-after transfer is working out with Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, generating speculation that Nick Saban’s mighty program could be in the mix.
According to The Athletic’s Max Olson and Bruce Feldman, Addison was spotted in California training with the Heisman Trophy winner this week.
Young is from California, which is why the Tide QB would be out there. Addison’s presence out West certainly raises eyebrows, though.
Alabama already has five transfers this cycle, including former Georgia wide receiver Jermaine Burton.
We’re guessing they wouldn’t say no to a Biletnikoff winner falling into their laps, too. And that was certainly the assumption on Twitter where the college football world rolled its eyes at the idea that Saban’s squad is the winner in this sweepstakes.

Along with USC and Alabama, Texas has also been rumored to be in the mix for Addison. We’ll likely find out soon enough where the wide receiver ends up and then it’ll be a question of how much more dangerous that offense is next season.
