The most famous Aggie of all-time Johnny Manziel made an appearance at the Texas A&M game this Saturday versus Sam Houston State.
Manziel is the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy back in 2012. Manziel was then drafted a few years later by the Cleveland Browns but he didn’t succeed.
Manziel had gotten into a lot of legal troubles after being cut by the Browns but seems to have gotten past all his legal issues.
In fact, Netflix has hinted that their next major documentary that they plan to produce will feature Manziel and his wild and crazy life on and off the field.
Manziel’s popularity basically put the Aggies on the map. They are now considered one of the top programs in the country thanks to Manziel and now head football coach Jimbo Fisher.
The Aggies entered this game as the No. 6 team in the country and ESPN’s Desmond Howard thinks they will make the College Football Playoff but so far the Aggies have struggled a little bit against Sam Houston State and aren’t looking like a top 10 team although they were leading at the half, 17-0 on a couple of long passes by Aggies starting quarterback Haynes King.
The game is still however in a weather delay.
