As it turns out, Duke Blue Devils offensive lineman Chance Lytle has a very impressive and unique talent – and it has absolutely nothing to do with college football. The 6-foot-7, 330-pound offensive lineman isn’t just a force in the trenches, he’s also a talented opera singer.
As Duke prepares for the upcoming 2022 college football season, the team took a little break from the onfield work to allow Lytle to break out his opera voice and serenade his teammates while standing on a table in the team cafeteria.
As it turns out, Lytle has a long history with music with plenty of training. Before arriving at Duke, Lytle played four seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes. At Colorado, Lyle earned a dual degree in Music and Voice Performance, as well as Psychology. He’s clearly putting that Music and Voice Performance degree to good use.
Lytle’s spontaneous vocal performance clearly delighted his teammates, based on their reactions. But the college football world as a whole also enjoyed hearing Lytle’s voice, with many praising him with references to the 2008 movie Step Brothers.
Duke is thinking outside the box to secure an invite to one of the football power conferences. Thank you for doing what it takes to keep the greatest rivalry in sports alive https://t.co/GlpIodHcSB

Lytle will look to make an impact for the Blue Devils on the field this season, but it looks like he’s already making a positive impact in the locker room.
