The Saint Peter’s Peacocks were the talk of the 2022 NCAA Tournament during their miraculous trip to the Elite Eight.

The team ultimately fell short of winning an epic national championship after losing to North Carolina on Sunday, but their Cinderella run produced a star in junior guard Doug Edert.

Edert has turned into an overnight internet sensation during the tournament and he is certainly cashing in on his newfound fame. He announced last week that he has taken NIL deals with Barstool Sports and Buffalo Wild Wings, something that most likely seemed impossible for him just a few weeks ago.

Now Edert is venturing into the world of Cameo, a website where people pay for personalized messages from celebrities and notable figures.

The star guard posted a message on the website on Tuesday.

“What’s good guys, it’s Doug Edert here, the guy with the mustache. I’m now on Cameo so hit me up with whatever questions you may have, any videos, shoutouts you want me to do. I’ll try and get back to you guys as soon as I can, and it’s go-time baby.”

Edert is certainly striking while the iron is hot, charging a whopping $109.99 for each personalized message that is requested. On the surface that seems insane, but he will likely be a hotly requested Cameo considering how he has taken over the college sports world so quickly.

We’ve seen unknown college stars become internet sensations overnight thanks to the spotlight of the NCAA Tournament before, but Saint Peter’s might be the most viral underdog story that we have seen in the social media age. Edert is clearly taking advantage of it.
