The game between the No. 8 Cincinnati Bearcats and the Indiana Hoosiers had one of the larger sideline collisions we’ve seen in a while. In the third quarter, Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder was running with the ball and was pushed out of bounds by Indiana defensive lineman Ryder Anderson. Ridder then lost control, tripped over the yardage marker, and went crashing through the Indiana sideline, eventually colliding with a trainer carrying water bottles.
Fortunately, there didn’t appear to be any serious injuries here; Ridder was able to keep playing, and the woman he collided with was able to continue with her duties as well. But that was certainly a big collision, and one that potentially could have been bad for both.
