Last week, Iowa Hawkeyes star guar Caitlin Clark was named the Player of the Year in the Big Ten conference after a dominant performance throughout the entire season, and she showed the entire world why during Sunday afternoon’s Big Ten Tournament final against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Caitlin Clark is known for her three-point shooting, and it’s safe to say she came out firing on Sunday afternoon, hitting four three-pointers in the first half alone to help her Hawkeyes climb out to a massive 61-24 first-half lead. But she wasn’t just scoring, she was also setting up her teammates, finishing the first half with nine assists as well.
In total, it’s safe to say that Clark outplayed the entire Ohio State Buckeyes team by herself in the first half, scoring nearly points and dishing out more assists than the Buckeyes had as a team.

“At the half — Caitlin Clark: 23 points, 9 assists. Ohio State: 24 points, 7 assists,” women’s college hoops reporter Lyndsey D’Arcangelo of The Athletic said in a tweet.
It’s an absolutely eye-popping first-half stat line, and it went absolutely viral on social media.

and this doesn't even quite capture the absurdity since those Ohio State assists are accounted for in their 24 team points, while Clark is responsible for way more than 23 – crazy!

Ohio State overcame a 24-point deficit to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers during the semifinal of the Big Ten Tournament, but this was obviously a little too big of a hole to climb.
