Fox Sports college football analyst Brady Quinn stirred up a hornet’s nest with his recent tweets about Texas A&M recruiting.
Last week saw the Alabama Crimson Tide receive commitments from three 5-star recruits, which prompted Quinn (who spent his own college career at Notre Dame) to take a shot at the Aggies’ recruiting in a conversation with LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knox on iHeartMedia’s Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.
“It’s a direct correlation to the microscope has been put on us. We can’t do what we did last year and our recruits look a little different right now. I haven’t seen that dramatic of a swing in recruiting ever. When Nick Saban comes out and basically says, ‘Yeah, dude, you bought that class.’ This justifies it.”
But the Jimbo Fisher-led Aggies haven’t exactly fallen off the map in recruiting. They’d made some impressive moves even before Quinn’s comment, and they landed one 5-star recruit and three 4-star recruits this past week after Quinn’s remarks.
Right now, the Aggies’ recruiting class is ranked second only to Alabama in the SEC. So this led to many dragging Quinn (seen above at a NFL game in 2014) on social media and calling him out for his apparent mistake.

SEC fans are notorious for roasting anyone who talks about their team. It looks like it’s Brady Quinn’s week to be the one on the fire pit.
