The football home of the Florida Gators caught fire Saturday in Gainesville. A video posted on social media showed a scary scene with plenty of smoke coming from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (also known as “The Swamp”).

It was initially reported that the fire was caused by a dumpster fire (which would summarize 2020) or golf cart. In the end, the University of Florida officially referred to a maintenance tractor as the cause, and said that the fire is out, with no structural damage to the stadium.
The fire at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium was from a maintenance tractor. The fire is now out and there is no structural damage to the facility. https://t.co/SdWqxrpnld

This is apparently a look at the maintenance tractor, or what was the maintenance tractor:

No injuries have been reported either. So, thankfully everything appears to have turned out okay.
The Gators are scheduled to have their first home game on Oct. 3 against South Carolina.
