For a guy averaging only about five points per game, Bol Bol sure knows how to make noise on social media.
For the second straight game, the Phoenix Suns center went viral for some great plays — well, definitely great by his standards, given his limited playing time in his young career.
But Bol has seen increased court time in recent games and has delivered. He scored 11 points in 24 minutes in a 123-113 win over the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday. His game included some nice highlights, including this dunk.
Here he spots up for a 3-pointer.
Bol trended on Twitter/X Friday night after some highlight moments against the Houston Rockets, including this dunk off a nice pump fake.
Bol is averaging 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, but he’s certainly played a bigger role than that recently. Teammate Kevin Durant likes what he sees.
“He’s been more than I expected,” Durant said after Sunday’s game (via Duane Rankin of AZ Central). “His intangibles, his work ethic, his IQ, all the stuff that I didn’t really think about when it comes to Bol, that’s the foundation of his game.”
Many fans are happy to see the son of Manute get a chance to show his stuff.
Bol Bol FINALLY got permission to play 2 games in a row, bounce the ball & make decisions on offense. I been waiting for this since the offseason. Suns WILL NOT be a title contender w/o Bol Bol this season. Bol Bol cooking off the bench is the x-factor. Not KD, Booker or Beal. https://t.co/0oBarq6Ylz
