Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were supposed to play the Charlotte Hornets but the Warriors will have to do that without their top scorer. Curry left the floor right before tip-off and according to the Warriors, “Curry is not feeling well and will not play in tonight’s game.” The Athletic also noted that Dell Curry, Steph’s father who is an analyst on the Hornets broadcast, said a security guard told him “his son wasn’t feeling well.”

“Not feeling well” can mean a variety of things and given the times we live in, many went straight to COVID. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry wasn’t pulled by the NBA for a health and safety reason. So whatever it is that Curry has, it doesn’t seem to be COVID related.

Even if it’s not COVID, it’s better to be safe than sorry in situations like these. Curry made the trip to Charlotte and participated in warm-ups but ultimately the decision was made to not risk things.
