Stephen A. Smith has been ramping up his New York Knicks fandom recently as the franchise has put itself in a position to make a potential run to the NBA Finals.

While not everyone in Knicks Nation is happy with the way Smith jumped on the bandwagon, Smith continues to hype up his NBA team as they attempt to knock off the Philadelphia 76ers and take advantage of a depleted Eastern Conference field ahead of them.

While the Knicks might just be able to make a run to the NBA Finals this year, Smith thinks there’s one factor that could propel them there in the future even if Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Kristaps Porzingis are hurt next time.

LeBron James.

“I’m not saying it’s plausible, you understand. I’m not saying that. But let’s not act like if LeBron James was on the New York Knicks, that they [wouldn’t] go to the Finals,” said Smith on First Take. “I’m not that delusional. All I’m saying is, you talk about LeBron, LBJ, No. 2 all-time. That brother? In THIS New York Knicks squad? PLEASE!”

There are a million reasons why that won’t happen, but Stephen A. can keep dreaming, can’t he? Especially considering how much he loves saying how the league’s biggest stars want to play for the Knicks.
