The San Antonio Spurs have been one of the most entertaining teams to watch in all of basketball early on this season. And a big reason for that has been the play of French rookie Victor Wembanyama, who had another ridiculous highlight in Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
Make no mistake about it, the Spurs being an entertaining team to watch doesn’t exactly mean that they are a good team whatsoever.
They came into Tuesday’s game with a 1-2 record. But fans at home watching Spurs games are always in for several jaw-dropping plays each game from Wembanyama.
Wembanyama didn’t disappoint in that aspect one bit on Tuesday night, as Wembanyama delivered one of the best dunks of the season in the second quarter of Tuesday’s contest.
With just seconds left before the end of the first half, Wembanyama drove right by Suns star Kevin Durant. And he delivered a ridiculous poster dunk over Drew Eubanks.
First of all, the dunk itself through contact shows just how athletic Wembanyama is along with his ridiculous height and wingspan.
The dribble move from Wembanyama going right by a great defender in Kevin Durant is equally as impressive. And fans couldn’t get enough of this highlight play from the No. 1 draft pick.

Wembanyama’s highlights obviously show just how great he can be in the NBA with time and growth.
That being said, he needs to become more consistent if he wants to become one of the best players in the world like many are expecting him to do.
This is only his fourth NBA game, so growing pains for any rookie, even one as talented as Wembanyama, are expected. But it seems like as Wembanyama grows and adjusts to the NBA game, he will only be getting better and better, which is a scary sight for the rest of the NBA.
