The first trade of the NBA Draft didn’t come as early as many expected. It got started with the No. 8 pick of the draft, which belonged to the Sacramento Kings. The Kings drafted Washington’s Marquese Chriss, and sent him to the Phoenix Suns.
In the deal, the Suns sent the No. 13 pick, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski.
According to Wojnarowski, the Suns also included the No. 28 pick in the draft as well.
Chriss will give the Suns size that they need underneath the basket, and should provide a great threat for the Suns. He will be a great addition to a Suns team that has a promising young star in Devin Booker, and will also match up well with Brandon Knight or Eric Bledsoe, whoever is playing the point for them next season.
It’s early, but it’s a good start for the Phoenix Suns in the 2016 NBA Draft.
