The Russell Westbrook era with the Los Angeles Lakers has had mixed bag results — to put it nicely — so far, but Westbrook looked like his nine-time NBA All-Star self with an unbelievable play against the Utah Jazz on Monday night.
In the second quarter, Westbrook drove into the lane and threw down an incredible, vicious dunk on Rudy Gobert.
This is a strong Dunk of the Year candidate:

Dunking on anybody like that would be amazing, but especially when it’s on a 7’1″ guy who’s won NBA Defensive Player of the Year three times (and Westbrook is only 6’3″). That athleticism from a 33-year-old is absolutely absurd.
Amazing jam from Westbrook.
