For the first time in several offseasons, there is some serious uncertainty surrounding Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and where he’ll play his home games next season.

With James commanding such a hefty salary, and the franchise’s seeming preference to build around the younger Luka Doncic, there have been talks circulating around media circles of a potential buyout, which may open the door for LeBron to reunite with the Cleveland Cavaliers and make one last title run.

However, one of James’s former teammates from a previous stint in Cleveland is shedding light on some of the downsides of playing with James, that the current players on the Cavaliers’ roster will definitely want to hear.

“Playing with LeBron sucks because you’re trying to win a championship,” Jefferson said, according to Awful Announcing. “He is one of the most competitive human beings in the history of American sports and sports in general.

“Does it suck when you’re showing up and he’s already been practicing for four hours and you’re like ‘oh s—.’ When he’s watching film and you mess up a play and he’s just like, ‘motherf—er what are you doing?’”

“And it’s like yea, those are the cons. But there were cons for playing with Jordan, there were cons for playing with Kobe, there were cons playing with players that were so great that they demanded excellence.

“There were cons for playing for Pat Riley or Popovich or Spoelstra. There’s always cons when you’re trying to win at the highest level.”

It’ll be interesting to see if the current Cavs have to get used to the expectations that come with playing alongside James.
