The Miami Heat and Chris Bosh don’t see eye-to-eye on the star forward’s health and now the NBA players association wants to talk with the team.
Bosh has been out since February with blood clots and wants to return to action but as a Miami Heat rep told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, “There is no update. He is still out indefinitely.” Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, has tweeted and retweeted posts about Bosh with the hashtag #BringBackBosh. Bosh sent out a Snapchat video of him on the court with the caption “still got it.” It’s clear he wants to play and he’s not exactly making it a secret.
Windhorst reports the NBA players association is trying to resolve the feud. They sent out a statement on Tuesday, saying they hope to resolve the situation soon.
“Our top priority is Chris’ health and well-being. We have spoken with Chris and his agent, and have reached out to the Miami Heat. We are hopeful that all parties involved can meet as soon as possible to resolve the situation.”
Hopefully, this situation can be resolved, because it isn’t the most appropriate time to have a public spat when the Heat are in the second round of the playoffs.
If Bosh is medically fit to play, I’m sure the Heat would have him suiting up tonight. He’s an important floor-spacer and makes the team significantly better. But, if the Heat are worried he can further injure himself by playing, it’s an easy call to have him sit. I’d be stunned if Miami was intentionally holding him out, despite Bosh being healthy, willing and able to play.
