It’s safe to say the Phoenix Suns’ defensive effort could be better. The Jay Triano-led team entered play on Thursday night allowing an NBA-worst 115.1 points per game, and that average is going to go up after this game against the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets scored 90 points in the first half. Yes, NINETY. James Harden had 33 of those points.
That’s good for the second-most points scored in the first half in the shot clock era (Hey, at least the Suns are first here!).

The Suns held the Rockets to “only” 30 points in the third quarter, with the score 120-91 going into the fourth.
