Giannis Antetokounmpo put together an almost flawless performance in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 131-116 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. The Greek Freak scored 44 points, while 17-of-20 shooting from the field. He also pulled down 14 rebounds and dished out eight assists.
If you’re thinking that scoring 44 points while shooting that efficiently from the field is pretty rare, you’re absolutely right!
Antetokounmpo becomes just the third player in NBA history to score at least 40 points, pull down at least 10 rebounds, and dish out at least five assists, while shooting at least 85% from the field. He joins Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in this remarkable territory.
Additionally, he’s scored at least 25 points in 20 straight games, joining Abdul-Jabbar as the only player in Bucks history to accomplish that feat.
