The Los Angeles Lakers have had a roller coaster of a season. From hiring a podcaster as their head coach in JJ Redick, to drafting Bronny James at 55th overall in the second round, everything around the Lakers this season has been a media circus.

Things reached an all-new level when Los Angeles traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks for international superstar Luka Doncic. Still, as much of a media frenzy that the move might have created, it’s paid dividends on the court.

LeBron, Luka, and the Lakers finished the regular season third in the Western Conference and are set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, James has dealt with a groin issue as of late, and it would appear that it’s not fully recovered heading into the playoffs.

A glimpse of Lakers practice. LeBron James is wearing a sleeve on his left leg. He exited his last game of the regular season last week because of discomfort in his left hip and groin,” wrote ESPN’s Dave McMenamin on Twitter, along with a clip of the Lakers in practice.

Fans reacted to the troubling news on social media.

“You know he really wasn’t hurt it was just to get out of the game without just exiting for no reason,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Like that ankle injury during all star weekend right lol we seen this diva act too many times anything for an excuse,” another fan added.

“Drama Queen James at his best,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see how much the groin impacts James’s play in the playoffs.;
