It’s hard for LeBron James to “wow” us much more at this point of his incredible 15-year NBA career, but he certainly did that on Friday night with a completely ridiculous performance in the Cavaliers’ 130-22 win over the Wizards.
LeBron dropped 57 points on the Wizards with an extremely efficient 23-of-34 shooting from the field and 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also added in 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Here’s LeBron nailing a three to get to 52:
A pretty left-handed shot in the lane to get to 54, followed by a chasedown block:
And this and-one to get to 56 (he would hit the ensuing free throw for 57):
He showed his tremendous passing skills in the final minute with this long assist to put the game away:

LeBron James w/ 57 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists. One other player w/ that line since 1984: Russell Westbrook (57/13/11) vs. Magic, 3/29/17

Welp. LeBron just matched Kyrie Irving's franchise record of 57 points in a single game. 52 seconds left to break it.

LeBron finishes with 57. Most against the Wizards since Tracy McGrady had 62 in 2004. He's insane.

This all comes after John Wall and Bradley Beal suggested the Cavs tanked to avoid the Wizards in the playoffs last season. Maybe don’t give LeBron any extra motivation next time.
