It’s not often that a third-grader goes absolutely viral for their basketball mixtape, but that’s exactly what happened to third-grade basketball phenom Kason Angert this week when the Internet got ahold of his absolutely insane basketball highlight reel.
This week, Courtside Films shared an absolutely insane video this week that shows third-grade Kason Angert showcasing skills that are far beyond his years.
In the video, you can see the third-grader showing off an excellent jump shot, dishing out passes with insane court vision, dribbling through defenders with ease, and hitting some extremely contested off-balance layups.
It certainly does not look like a third-grader playing basketball.
The video went absolutely viral on social media, and the NBA world had plenty to say about it on Twitter, with a lot of fans using the opportunity to make some hilarious jokes.
“This is a pick from the KD trade,” one fan joked.
“I don’t think he has the size to compete in today’s NBA,” another fan joked.
“A pick from the Kyrie and Durant trades,” another fan joked.
“3rd grade you couldn’t get me to not travel or even run the right way. This kid could go play juco ball tomorrow,” another fan said.
Time will tell whether we see Angert in the NBA one day.
