Joakim Noah and his “tornado” provide one of the ugliest shooting forms of all time. He shoots like a chest pass and the ball has crazy side spin. We’ve long known this.
But, even with how awful it’s always looked, he’s actually been a pretty solid free throw shooter for a seven-footer over his career. He entered play on Monday night with a career free throw shooting percentage of exactly 70%. You’ll take that from a center in the NBA.
However, over the past two seasons, his free throw percentage has looked every bit as ugly as the shooting form. He had a 48.9 free throw percentage last season, and has followed it up with a 42.9 free throw percentage this year.
And things hit a new low for the Knicks’ center with this free throw attempt against the Indiana Pacers on Monday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse:
Not even close. His reaction right when he let that shot go said it all. That is one of the worst free throws you will ever see, at any level.
