The Dallas Mavericks blew a 27-point lead, at home, to the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday, and head coach Jason Kidd had a clear message for his team afterward.

“Grow up.”

A disappointed Kidd shared that blunt message with reporters after the stunning 111-108 loss.

“I’m not the savior here. I’m not playing,” Kidd said (via ESPN). “I’m watching, just like you guys. As a team, we’ve got to mature. … We’ve got to grow up.”

Granted, the players deserve some of the blame. It’s not easy to blow a 27-point lead, especially against a team laying bricks from the 3-point line (the Lakers were 6-of-34 from behind the arc).

Still, many NBA fans believe Kidd deserves a hefty share of the blame, and they quickly responded to his “Grow up” message to the Mavs.
