Rapper/actor Ice Cube was in the news this week because of his interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Among the things he discuss was today’s political climate which caught the attention of several people, but he also discussed his disappointment with the NBA and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s lack of support for his league, the Big3.

The Big 3 is a 3-on-3 basketball league of which he is one of the founders.

Cube chastised Silver for not supporting black-owned businesses like his.

“The NBA is full of great slogans, and they write ‘Black Lives Matter’ on the court, and they do all those things, but pretty full of s*** when the rubber meets the road,” he said.

“I’m just saying it’s easy for them to put that on the court. It takes a little more effort to really care to work with a league like the BIG3. You really gotta want to make a difference,” he added.

He also claims several NBA team owners want to be part of the league, but Silver won’t let them support it.

Cube also said, “I don’t give a **** about working with the NBA” He just wants them to stop them from keeping his league from growing.

This interview and his criticism of them likely won’t help that relationship.
