Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges may miss Monday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors after being denied entry into Canada.
Charlotte WFNZ radio host Kyle Bailey reported that Bridges was denied entry as the result of his well-publicized domestic violence charges from 2022. He missed all of the 2022-23 season and served a 10-game suspension to start this season.
Bailey reported the Hornets are trying to get the situation resolved before the game. Bridges had tweeted out what appeared to be news of his denial Sunday, but later deleted the post.
Bridges was charged with multiple felony counts of domestic violence in June 2022. Two charges were dropped, and he pleaded no contest to a felony charge of injuring a child’s parent.
As a result, Bridges was sentenced to three years of probation, ordered to undergo a year of domestic violence and parenting counseling, and perform 100 hours of community service.
Bridges is averaging 19.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game this season.
NBA fans had mixed reactions to his situation on X/Twitter.
