It has been a disappointing start to the season for both the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks. Both were playoff teams last season and now see themselves on the outside looking in for the Eastern Conference playoffs.
It appears that both teams are trying to shake things up with a trade, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski. The Atlanta Hawks will send over Cam Reddish, Solomon Hill, and a second-round pick in 2025 to the Knicks for Kevin Knox and a 2022 first-round pick via the Charlotte Hornets.
This trade will give two former top-10 picks in Knox and Reddish a much-needed change of scenery. Both are very young at only 22 years old but have, for the most part, not seen their careers go as planned as of yet.
Here are some reactions around the NBA about the move made by both teams.

Reddish is a former teammate of current Knicks starter R.J Barrett, so there are many Knicks fans talking about the reunion between the two, with hopes of someday bringing in the third piece from the 2018-19 Duke Blue Devils team…
Reddish has been good when he has gotten the opportunity, while Knox has seen himself mostly out of Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau‘s rotation so far this season.
Both have become lost in the shuffle of deep benches, so it will be interesting to see whether or not either will get the opportunity to show what they can do on their new rosters.
