A Memphis Grizzlies fan went with the “overhead pass” shooting form on a half-court shot with a car on the line, during halftime of the team’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at FedExForum. And it somehow worked:

Are you kidding me? Even Bill Cartwright would think that shooting technique is ugly. And the guy was going to shoot with his hat on — a big no-no unless you’re Woody Harrelson in White Men Can’t Jump — until Griz (the mascot) came to the rescue. Of course, if you’re going with the overhead shooting form, I suppose a hat may not matter either.

Whatever the case, the shooting form worked, and that man is the proud new owner of an Audi A3.
