As the Phoenix Suns attempt to close out their first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night, they can expect to get some much-needed help in the form of All-Star guard Devin Booker, who is now expected to play, per ESPN.
Booker left in the third quarter of Game 2 with right hamstring tightness after an impressive 31-point first half and did not return for the rest of the game. He missed both Games 3, 4, and 5 with a mild hamstring strain.
Now, Booker has been upgraded from “out” to “questionable” and is expected to test his leg before the game in New Orleans. Assuming everything checks out, he is expected to play.
While the Suns seem as though they are capable of closing out the series without Booker, having a guy who averaged almost 27 points and five assists per game back on the court will make a big difference and should tip the odds in their favor.
Certainly, the news that Booker will be back on the court caught the attention of the NBA world on Twitter, leading to a lot of strong reactions.
