Dennis Rodman was named a person of interest in a hit-and-run investigation in Orange County last month, and now the California Highway Patrol is recommending that the former NBA star be charged with a felony hit-and-run charge, as well as driving the wrong way on the highway.
The incident occurred at about 12:30 AM local time in Santa Ana, as a black BMW sedan traveled south in the carpool lanes on I-5 and Rodman was driving a white luxury SUV north in the southbound carpool lanes. The BMW driver swerved to avoid the head-on collision and hit the highway divider. After a brief conversation between the two drivers, Rodman drove off and did not exchange information with the BMW driver.
TMZ reported that Rodman was seen at a karaoke bar hours before the alleged incident, and police are trying to determine whether Rodman was drinking at the time of the incident.
Dennis Rodman seems to be unable to stay out of the news for all the wrong reasons, and this story is no exception.
