After all the controversy surrounding the circumstances in which he was drafted, Bronny James is starting to find his groove as a professional basketball player. The eldest son of Lebron James was at the receiving end of many jokes on social media after he struggled out of the gate in his rookie season, but he’s starting to silence the haters one by one.
Bronny recently had the best showing of his young career against the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 17 points on 7-10 shooting to go along with three rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes of game action.
He isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, either.
“Bronny James could not be stopped! The (Lakers) draftee recorded a career-high in scoring and posted his third 30+ point performance this season,” posted the G-League’s official Twitter account.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“But he’s the worst 55th pick of all time! Casuals are really going to have to look back on those takes years from now,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Bronny is going to be a solid all around pg, poor man’s Tony Parker maybe,” one fan added.
“Floaters are hard shots to make and even tougher to a defend. He’s clearly skilled. Learn the game and develop his skills to fit a role and he’ll be in the league for a long time,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what Bronny’s role is for the Lakers in the rapidly approaching playoffs.
