As the 2016-17 NBA season approaches, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has had plenty to say as he and Golden State try to avenge the Finals loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Curry started off by saying earlier this month that he hasn’t gotten over the Game 7 loss to Cleveland.

As we have seen in recent days, Curry and his sentiments have moved onto this upcoming season. He spoke about his desire to improve recently and jokingly showed it in a recent video.

Curry’s new and improved moves were revealed to the public on Tuesday afternoon.

Though this doesn’t seem like a move Curry wouldn’t use in a game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls this out once at some point during the season. Imagine the Oracle Arena reaction if he did that at home.

As for his insistence on improving, Curry has plenty to say on that topic, including how his team will play coming off of a historic regular season.

“This is more real for us. Because we felt what we felt all summer. We experienced that,” Curry said. “It wasn’t something that was coming at us. It’s better when you’re motivated from how you feel and the experiences you’ve had versus how other people see your team or your journey, so this is more real for us, coming off a loss.”

Curry said how the arrival of Kevin Durant doesn’t change his motivation and expectations for himself:

“I haven’t really thought about it like that,” Curry said of Durant’s arrival, “because that would kind of cheat my process. I have the same mentality. I don’t really think about any other expectations. I want to get better. I want to be better than I was last year. That’s going to be the same, regardless if KD was here or not. You would think there is a blessing with pressure or whatever, but that’s not how I can think, because I’ve got to still do my job and do it at a high level for us to be as great as we want to be.”

Props to Curry for being willing to improve after falling short last season. However, his skillset doesn’t seem to need much improvement, and with the addition of Durant, Curry should have a chance at another stellar year.
