UFC fighter Miesha Tate is undoubtedly one of the best in the octagon when it comes to mixed martial arts. You can also add humanitarian to her list of accomplishments after her assistance to a family in need this past weekend.
The Abalos family had been hiking at the Mary Jane Falls trail in Mt. Charleston, Nevada, when their 6-year-old daughter Kai fell, breaking her arm at the top of the trail in the process. This is when Tate came in, and helped carry Kai down the mountain.
The photo shows Tate with Kai in her hands, clearly distressed. The caption of the photo from her father explained the event:
Such a crazy labor day weekend for our family but ended in such an amazing and beautiful way. My poor Kai broke her arm at the top of the Mary Jane Falls hike at Mt Charleston. So @mommapook and I basically had to carry her down miles ahead. To our rescue and assistance came the amazing @mieshatate the UFC fighter. She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family cant thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner. Thank you again #mieshatate
Tate posted a video of Kai thanking her for carrying her and helping her down the mountain. Tate coupled this with a caption that said it was one of the most rewarding days of her athletic career, because instead of listening to those that tried to limit her, her strength very much came in handy that day.
That’s very fortunate for that family to have somebody as able as Tate to be able to swiftly help them. There’s no doubting that if they weren’t fans already, Tate just earned three news one in the Abalos family.
