Nearly two weeks after taking a haymaker punch from Rougned Odor, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista served his one-game suspension Friday — and he had fun with it.

Bautista arrived at Friday’s game and talked to reporters while wearing a Kyle Lowry jersey. He later made his Public Address Announcer debut while rocking the black Raptors’ jersey. After a popup, Bautista announces his teammate, Kevin Pillar, over the loud speakers at Rogers Centre. Bautista even gives Pillar a nickname — Kevin “I catch everything” Pillar.

Following his debut, Bautista managed to make it to Air Canada Centre for Game 6 of the Cavaliers-Raptors series. After exchanging tweets with Montreal Canadiens star P.K. Subban on Friday, the two stars got to sit together and watch the Cavs advance to the NBA Finals.

While Bautista’s public address announcing debut was a hit, it’s likely that the Blue Jays would rather have Bautista patrolling the outfield than the press box. This is especially true, given that Toronto is third in the American League East.
