Giancarlo Stanton + Coors Field = A match made in heaven. The best power hitter in the game in a stadium where baseballs fly like they do nowhere else in the majors.
Unfortunately, we only get to see it a few times a year, and it figures to stay that way for a long time with Stanton signed to a deal that will keep him a Miami Marlin through at least 2027 (barring a trade, of course).
Well, on Saturday night, we caught a glimpse of what we would probably see regularly if Stanton played for the Colorado Rockies.

First of all, I find it hard to believe that’s truly the first 500-foot homer ever at Coors, and it’s possible this is just the first time one has ever been tracked at that distance at Coors. Either way, what a shot. And if Stanton played his home games there, we’d probably see several 500-footers a year. This is what he does, and it’s amazing to watch.
