Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner has a very versatile game offensively, and put that power/speed combo on display Tuesday night in an 11-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies at Nationals Park.
Turner went 4-for-5 with a single, double, triple, and home run. That’s what we like to call a cycle.
And this is actually the second time Turner has hit for a cycle against the Rockies. At just 26 years old, Turner becomes just the third player to hit for the cycle against the same team.
Of course, the first cycle Turner had vs the Rockies came at Coors Field (in 2017), where cycles happen regularly.
But there’s no doubt Tuesday night’s was a very legitimate, well-earned cycle from the shortstop.
