Shohei Ohtani is ridiculous, this much we know.
The two-way superstar has dazzled MLB fans over the last few seasons with the Los Angeles Angels. Ohtani just absolutely wowed fans in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, as well. Team Japan went undefeated en route to their third WBC title and Shohei was a huge reason why.
As Eric Stephen of SB Nation pointed out, Ohtani went insane in the WBC.
“Shohei Ohtani in the World Baseball Classic hit .435/.606.739 with 4 doubles & a home run. And he had a 1.86 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings,” Stephen tweeted.
Absolutely insane! Ohtani has left a marvelous impact on the game and it still feels like he has so much to offer. The 2021 AL MVP has truly become a global phenomenon. He’s been the cover boy on the MLB The Show franchise, he’s won an MVP award, and he hit and pitched Team Japan to a World Baseball Classic. What more can you ask for?
Well, he DID also have the hardest-hit ball AND the hardest-thrown pitch too. To top it all off!
The sports world was absolutely floored and in awe of Shohei Ohtani and his WBC statline.
“‘Probably one of the 5 or 10 best players’ says the announcer with a serious face,” KP Show tweeted.
The Kid Mero wanted Ohtani as a Yankee immediately.
“It is not possible for us to comprehend how unbelievable he is and how banal it almost seems,” TwistNHook tweeted.
Kylie Sparks wanted Ohtani freed from the Angels.

Plenty simply just couldn’t comprehend what they were seeing.
