This just in: Shohei Ohtani is incredible.
The Los Angeles Angels’ two-way superstar cranked his 15th homer of the season — tied for second in MLB — in an 11-5 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night. And it was an absolute rocket.
Ohtani smoked a 117 mph dinger, the hardest-hit Angels homer ever tracked by Statcast (going back to 2015).
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two walks on the night. He has a .958 OPS this season (led by a .632 SLG). Oh, and he has 2.37 in 30 1/3 innings as a pitcher.
Amazing.
