Chase Field really has played quite similarly over the last few years to the hitters’ paradise that Coors Field is, and the Colorado Rockies probably wouldn’t argue with that after Saturday night.

The ball was flying out of Chase Field, with Saturday night’s game having a 481-foot homer and a BROKEN-BAT HOMER.

We’ll first look at the 481-foot homer, which came off the bat of Arizona third baseman Jake Lamb. This is the longest dinger of the 2017 MLB season (so far):

Over the concourse! Crazy. Lamb’s homer tops a 470-foot dong that Manny Machado hit on Friday at Yankee Stadium.

Later in the game, the Rockies’ Mark Reynolds hit a homer off Zack Greinke while breaking his bat!

Those were just two of the six homers hit in this wacky game, which the Rockies won 7-6 (with two outs in the top of the ninth, the Rockies scored three runs off Diamondbacks closer Fernando Rodney to take the lead).

It’s pretty easy to understand why the Diamondbacks are soon doing what the Rockies have done at Coors Field, in adding a humidor to store baseballs at Chase Field. The humidor could “substantially”reduce home the amount of homers at Chase Field. So, enjoy these ridiculous dingers in Arizona while you can.
