Tampa Bay Rays catcher Wilson Ramos left Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles after getting hit in the head by a broken bat.
It was a freak, scary play, in which the barrel of the bat broke off during Ruben Tejada’s backswing and drilled Ramos in the head.
Ramos was able to walk off the field, but suffered a laceration on his head that required six staples to close.

This comes after Ramos didn’t even make his season debut until June 24th due to a torn ACL suffered last year with the Washington Nationals. It’s safe to say he could use some better luck on the diamond.
