Texas Rangers catching prospect Sam Huff showed off some ridiculous power with a home run in the Frisco RoughRiders’ Double-A game against the Amarillo Sod Poodles on Saturday night.
Huff cranked a bomb that had an estimated distance of 502 feet. Sometimes those kind of estimations seem questionable, but this one seems pretty accurate.
Watch and hear this incredible blast:

Insane. And that seems to be a regular thing for Huff, who hit a 495-foot homer in July.

Huff is a consensus top-10 prospect in the Rangers’ system, and he got a cup of coffee with the big-league club in 2020, putting together a .355/.394/.742 slash line with three homers in 33 plate appearances for Texas. Hopefully we’ll see him hit these 500-foot blasts in the majors soon, and he’d make for a highly entertaining Home Run Derby participant.
