It’s an unofficial home run derby at Citizens Bank Park as the Philadelphia Phillies drilled a bunch of home runs early in Game 3 of the World Series.
In the first two innings, the Phillies hit three home runs, becoming the first team to achieve that feat in the World Series. The first took place in the first inning as cleanup hitter Bryce Harper drilled a 402 foot bomb on the first pitch he saw.

Up 2-0, the second inning got off to a rocking start as Alec Bohm took the first pitch of the inning deep to get the solo home run and go down in history as hitting the 1,000th World Series home run.

Video showed Harper discussing something with Bohm before Bohm went to bat. Both players hit homers on the first pitch so clearly they knew something. Obviously, Bohm kept that little secret between he and Harper.

Three batters later, Brandon Marsh took a high-arcing hit that just barely cleared the wall. Regardless, it counted, and the Phillies went up 4-0 early in the game.

Social media took notice of the Phillies’ deep fly balls. The hottest team in baseball right now, the Phillies are looking to take a 2-1 lead with two more games left to play in Philly Wednesday and Thursday.
