When you’re referred to as the most feared hitter in high school softball, we’re going to need more details. It turns out the apple doesn’t far from the tree.

Ella Parker, a senior at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif. currently is hitting with a .692 average with 24 RBI in 17 games. Of her 27 hits on the season, 13 of them have been home runs.

She’s also the niece of Los Angeles Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts.

Parker is an Oklahoma commit, and her fear is showing in more than just her hitting ability. Her patience at the plate has her being walked 71 times as well.

Roberts has helped his niece along the way. Surely with what’s needed in between the lines on the diamond, but Parker admitted she sees the bigger picture now thanks to Uncle Dave.

“Looking into it at a deeper level,” Parker told the Los Angeles Times in February, “really helped me become more knowledgeable of the game.”

Roberts also helped her break down each at-bat — specifically, what she could do to have a better approach at the plate. If she ever needed one, of course.

She’s also a five-tool player, and then some. Parker is known as a stellar pitcher.

Of course, she is.

If you’re lucky enough, you’ll be able to spot him right behind home plate, watching her.

Her mom describes her as a gentle giant, which shows when the attention is on her. She’s not a fan of it.
